On October 8, 2019, Individual Advocacy Group was awarded, from the Dunham Fund Board of Advisors, a grant in the amount of $125,000. The grant will be paid in 2 installments for a $1 to $1 match in 2020 not exceeding an additional $125,000. This generous grant will be utilized in the purchase of a home in Aurora, Illinois, to help support individuals with disabilities, aiding in their accessibility and integration into the community.
The Dunham Fund Organization, established in 1996, has honored Mr. Dunham’s life and philanthropy through grants to Aurora, IL area organizations that have the vision and programs to help fulfill Mr. Dunham’s dream of “making the world a more comfortable, safer place for mankind to live and prosper.” Individual Advocacy Group for the last 20+ years has enabled individuals with disabilities to define and pursue their life goals and interests, develop skills to reach those goals, grow increasing personal responsibility, engage their community, and lead active, enjoyable, independent lives.
